At the moment I am copying the printouts into microsoft word so I can reformat them, and it is becoming frustrating. It just takes far too long to produce a printout that is well formatted, clean, makes use of all the space on the page.
I want workouts for my clients to carry that are a maximum 1-2 pages in length. The current default prinouts waste so much white space, exercises sometimes split between pages when there is a page break, there isn't any way to visually link two exercises together (such as a superset), really I could go on and one, all anyone needs to do is try to produce a good looking workout and all these issues become apparent.

My original assumption is that some trainers need/want more detail. But after visiting a few sites I think there's some calculations which take wrist/ankle measurements into account. Also comparing girth size between two sides of the body, but for non muscular sites.

So I think we should leave them in there for this reason but will definitely add left & right sites, just working on the visuals now.

Here are a couple websites discussing ankle/wrist measurements:

- Explores comparing geometric similarities between non muscular sites - http://wlv.openrepository.com/wlv/bitstream/2436/11129/1/Nevill19.pdf

I use JQuery on a few projects, haven't checked out the mobile edition.

An alternative could be to toggle all tool tips. So that once a person is familiar with it they don't need to see them. Although thinking out loud that could be a way of missing out on understanding new features as they're added.

Damotag:support.gympro.com,2008-02-07:Event/62952112011-03-22T15:23:58-07:002011-03-22T15:23:58-07:00Customisable Client Information Display [updated]
On the Client Summary page it used to display the clients age and their phone number. I used to use this quite a bit, now I have to drill into the client record to view the number.
Maybe a setting that enables the display of birthdate/age/phone number could be added enabling us to choose what to display. I imagine the overhead would be minimal.

Damo said:

Yep, much easier. And I'm getting better at working out the age from the birth year - if it's not too congested maybe add the age after the date. i.e 1 Jan 1975 (36).

As for birthdays I tend to see them in the schedule already, I look each day when marking sessions but I'm sure others use it differently. Maybe an email on the 1st of each month advising of the birthdays in that month?

And an extension of that could be for that email (or even a linked web page view) to include all significant (non-training) dates in a single list. i.e. re-assessments.

i know my own exercises and there are too many that the software doesn't have. it's a complete hassle entering them. combinations are also very rigid. this greatly inhibits creativity with making programmes and i end up just writing them in a separate log book. please make available a blank screen where i can just type up my clients' workouts in my own style. as long as they are attached to the client i'll be happy. thank you!
Alekstag:support.gympro.com,2008-02-07:Event/61834472011-03-16T21:39:38-07:002011-03-16T21:39:38-07:00Is there ability to grapghically show progress for clients in BF and girth mesurements? After some investigation, it seems that these assessments don't seem to be very popular on the site. We're really big on having each feature on the site pull it's weight and really contribute to the value of the product as a whole. Lately (due to certain system re-structuring plans) we're thinking it's best to dump these ones and focus instead on the Trackers, which are more flexible.
Alekstag:support.gympro.com,2008-02-07:Event/61834212011-03-16T21:38:19-07:002011-03-16T21:38:19-07:00Nutritional section upgrade [is now completed]
Is there a possibility that you could also add a nutrition section that I can add my own foods with the calories, protein, carb and fat content etc
Alekstag:support.gympro.com,2008-02-07:Event/61395732011-03-14T17:13:23-07:002011-03-14T17:13:23-07:00Customisable Client Information Display [updated]
On the Client Summary page it used to display the clients age and their phone number.
I can see that getting in the way once you're familiar with what each button does. I think novice users will still find them useful though. We've started working on a mobile specific version using JQuery Mobile, which will work across iDevices as well as other OSs. Obviously once we have this going it will eliminate the double-tap.

I'm not sure if you've worked with JQuery but their mobile framework looks very promising. Definitely worth checking out.

[is now completed]
At present the schedule can report on totals but you then need to go and view each day to see which are marked 'Completed and Unpaid'.
A report/list by client that shows the session date and amount unpaid would be great.
Alekstag:support.gympro.com,2008-02-07:Event/61192272011-03-13T16:40:41-07:002011-03-13T16:40:41-07:00Customisable Client Information Display
Damo suggested:
On the Client Summary page it used to display the clients age and their phone number. At present the first tap shows the pop-up the second activates the link.

It's most noticeable on the edit session, send reminder type icons.

Damo
